Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging Dolpo Cleaning ("we", "us", or "our") for cleaning services, requesting a quote, or using our website at dolpocleaning.com.au, you ("the Client") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services or website.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia and are subject to the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) as set out in Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

2. Our Services

Dolpo Cleaning provides commercial cleaning services including, but not limited to:

  • Office and workplace cleaning
  • School and educational facility cleaning
  • Gym and fitness centre cleaning
  • End-of-lease and deep cleaning (where offered)

The specific scope of services will be agreed upon in writing prior to commencement, either through a formal service agreement or a confirmed quote. We reserve the right to decline or discontinue any service at our discretion, with reasonable notice provided to the Client.

3. Quotes and Pricing

All quotes provided by Dolpo Cleaning are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Quotes are based on information provided by the Client at the time of enquiry; final pricing may be revised if site conditions differ materially from those described.

Prices quoted are exclusive of GST unless explicitly stated otherwise. GST will be applied in accordance with the A New Tax System (Goods and Services Tax) Act 1999 (Cth).

4. Payment Terms

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the following payment terms apply:

  • Invoices are issued upon completion of each scheduled service or on a monthly cycle for ongoing contracts.
  • Payment is due within 14 days of the invoice date.
  • Overdue accounts may incur a late payment fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance.
  • We reserve the right to suspend services for accounts more than 30 days overdue.

Accepted payment methods include direct bank transfer (EFT) and credit card. Details will be provided on each invoice.

5. Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand that circumstances change. The following conditions apply to cancellations and rescheduling:

  • Cancellations or rescheduling requests made at least 48 hours before the scheduled service incur no fee.
  • Cancellations made within 24–48 hours of the scheduled service may incur a fee of 50% of the quoted service price.
  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice or failure to provide access to the premises may incur a fee of 100% of the quoted service price.

Dolpo Cleaning reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a service in the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g. staff illness, equipment failure, severe weather). We will endeavour to provide as much notice as possible and offer an alternative time at no additional cost.

6. Client Obligations

To enable us to deliver our services safely and effectively, the Client agrees to:

  • Provide safe and unobstructed access to the premises at the agreed time.
  • Disclose any known hazards, including but not limited to biohazards, asbestos, or dangerous substances, prior to service commencement.
  • Ensure the premises complies with relevant workplace health and safety requirements under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Cth) or applicable state equivalent.
  • Secure or remove valuable, fragile, or sensitive items before our team arrives.
  • Notify us promptly of any changes to the scope of work or site conditions.

7. Service Quality and Complaints

We are committed to delivering high-quality cleaning services. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of a service:

  • Please notify us within 24 hours of service completion with a description of the concern and, where possible, photographic evidence.
  • We will investigate and, where the complaint is substantiated, arrange a re-clean or issue a partial credit at our discretion.
  • Complaints received after 24 hours may not be eligible for a remedy, as it may no longer be possible to verify the original service condition.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees relating to the supply of services.

8. Liability

Dolpo Cleaning carries public liability insurance and takes reasonable care in performing all services. However:

  • We are not liable for damage caused by pre-existing conditions, wear and tear, or items that were not secured or disclosed by the Client.
  • Our liability for any single claim is limited to the value of the service rendered during the relevant visit, except where liability cannot be limited under the ACL.
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or economic losses arising from our services or any failure to provide services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by the ACL that cannot be excluded by agreement.

9. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary or sensitive information disclosed in connection with the service arrangement. This obligation does not apply to information that is publicly available, independently developed, or required to be disclosed by law.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on our website — including text, graphics, logos, and images — is the property of Dolpo Cleaning and is protected by Australian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent, except as permitted by law.

11. Termination of Ongoing Contracts

Either party may terminate an ongoing service agreement by providing 30 days' written notice. Any services rendered during the notice period remain payable. Dolpo Cleaning reserves the right to terminate a contract immediately if the Client breaches these Terms, including by non-payment.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, services, or applicable law. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
